Tooth Replacements

Our Etobicoke dentists offer tooth replacement options to help restore your smile and sustain your long-term oral health.

Dental Bridges & Implants, Etobicoke

Replacing missing teeth is more than a cosmetic issue.

If missing teeth are left unfilled, the gap that is left behind can cause the surrounding teeth to shift out of place, eventually causing issues such as gum disease and misalignment issues.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is used to replace missing or failing teeth or to help secure a bridge or denture.

A small anchor made of titanium, dental implants are surgically placed into bone to function like the root of your missing tooth. They are designed to maintain the surrounding bone and gums leaving you with a natural-looking tooth replacement.

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a natural-looking tooth replacement that your dentist may use to replace one missing tooth or a section of missing teeth.

Your dentist will permanently bond a dental bridge to existing natural teeth or to dental implants or dental crowns that have been placed on either side of the gap in your teeth.

Dentures

Dentures are artificial tooth replacements that dentists can use to replace one missing tooth, several in a row, or a whole jaw of missing teeth. They allow patients with missing teeth to maintain their face structure as well as talk and eat properly.

Partial Dentures

Your dentist will use partial dentures if you have more than a few missing teeth or your surrounding teeth are not strong enough for a dental bridge.

Partial dentures are made up of one or more artificial teeth held in place by clasps that fit onto your natural teeth or a tooth replacement. You can remove them for cleaning and sleeping.

Full Dentures

Commonly referred to as false teeth, your dentist will use full dentures if you have a whole jaw of missing teeth.

Full dentures are held in place by suction and you can remove them for cleaning and sleeping.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Sometimes there is not enough gum tissue to hold and support full dentures. In these situations, implant-supported dentures may help stabilize your dentures for a comfortable and secure fit.
